...this was what was looking back at me!
I will never understand the need to put such a hideous piece of equipment on my car.Life has thrown me many curve balls.
For instance, in October of 2007-I got a blood clot that started in my calf and then moved to both of my lungs. Not exactly how I wanted my life to go at the age of 21.
As a result of my blood clot(s)-I rang in my 22nd birthday on blood thinners. Ultimately in August of 2008, I found myself in the hospital again (for 1 week). My blood thinners had cause internal bleeding in my abdomen.
Again, WOW, not what I planned for my life. Throughout it my Mom recommended that I take a break from school to get healthy. I "graciously" told her no. Both of these "curve balls" had already disrupted my life enough. I didn't want them to interfere anymore.
Needless to say, I kept moving on with life and finished school. I look now at how my life is going and wonder why I get so worked up about the small stuff in life. I worry so much more about the little things in life--but when I was smack dab in the middle such risky situations, I didn't freak out as much?
Perez Hilton, he is quite a character. But, despite his ability to point out the "flaws" associated with people. He's very funny. Now, my roommate thinks I am very ridiculous for getting my "updates" from such a source. She feels that I should be listening to a more legitimate source--but to be honest, I just can't help it!!
ps, I'm still on the lookout for someone who wants to help contribute to "A year of mornings."
Let me know if you're interested---in the meantime, I'll leave you with a glimpse of "My Morning."
I am really loving my job! It's amazing how things worked out for the best! To be honest, I don't even know how I began on the Special Education track in college. But, I am really glad that I did!
My students are the best and I enjoy being with them everyday! Our program keeps growing. It's even better because I love the teacher that I "team" teach with! She teaches English and writing...and I teach math and science. It really works well and I'm glad that she and I have become great friends.
My work provides me with some sort of normalcy.
1. Spring Break is in 6 weeks!! Hello vacation!
2. During Spring Break I'll be taking care of my "nephew" Chance!!--My best friend Jill's dog!

Super excited! Yesterday, my friend Jill called me to ask about my favorite colors. --In my head I was thinking (why?). Ultimately no big deal, I've done the same thing to her! Well, I go over to her house and we just watched tv most of the day. Then all of a sudden her boyfriend comes home with some roses for BOTH of us for Valentine's Day!--That's why she wanted to know my favorite colors! It was super sweet of him and made my day! Because at this point Valentine's is only considered "Singles Awareness Day"--generally a total bummer.
"You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true."
life is really hard sometimes and i don't think that i like it.

creditWhen times are hard and I am very frustrated, my Mom always reminds me to go to God with my fears and concerns. That's what I love about my Mom...she always, always goes to God for guidance. It seems so easy for her, very natural. I hope that someday my faith can be as strong as hers, where immediately I look towards God.
I love my Mom and am so proud of her!! My Mom starts student teaching next semester! She started college back in 2004 when I first went to college! And in May she graduates as a DOUBLE major in, Elementary Education and History!!
So, for 2010...I have another goal to be more like my Mom and focus my concerns to God, both good and bad.
2009 brought me a few firsts....
-I graduated from college, earned my bachelor's degree!
-Got my first "big girl" job! (Made a lot of great new friends!)
I was reading a blog earlier tonight and I found this quote: "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you with whatever hard things come up when the time comes."
No, it's not raining..but I have been trying to find the perfect rain jacket. But the catch is I don't want to spend 300 dollars on one.---very hard since I have a million requirements for my jacket.
...plus standing out on the bus lot for after school duty..in the rain...has gotten to me. Having an umbrella does not always work!!
Does anybody have any suggestions?
I have really missed you...4 months has been too long. I especially like your late, sleeping, mornings! We're going to have a blast for the next two weeks!
Love, Theresa
So, generally Friday nights are considered my "calm down" evenings. I say this because work can be very hectic at times and Monday through Friday is non-stop! Don't get me wrong, I love my job...but sometimes I need that time to gather my thoughts and just do anything but work.
The Northlake/Huntersville area is about 15 minutes away so I like to go there on Fridays. There is a Target (LOVE!) there, and that's where I generally start first! Well, in the back of the store in electronics is where I spend most of my time. So, you ask why? I love to sample the new music. Last week I probably stood there for about 3o minutes (no exaggeration) listening to the new Christmas music! Well it's not "new" music, but it's new mixes. They have classic Christmas music and rock Christmas and other types of CDS. My first thought went to what CD can I buy for my classroom. For the last week we've been listening to holiday music..I bet my assistant is going to pull out her hair by the end of the holidays because I've overplayed holiday music!! I decided it was time for a new mix. So, I settled on 2..and let me tell you, only coming out with 2 was a very hard decision! I got a "Crooner Christmas" CD and a kids Christmas sing along CD. I wish I could find the CDs online but I can't right now.
