I got to visit my friend Keri last week in Asheville! I hate that she lives 2 hours away. Yeah it's really not that far but with our schedules we never seem to find time to be able to get together. But I am so glad I got to see her and her little girl Gracie! We got to do some shopping and she showed me around town. On Friday we went to this gorgeous park and got to see some animals on the property!

Grey's Anatomy Finale

IT WAS AMAZING!

Did you see it? If you missed it, I'm sorry--it was the best and I was crying the entire time!! Especially the last five minutes. Finding out the guy that was hit was George, and then to see him in his uniform outside the elevator...whoa! I really hope he and Izzie don't die--I really can't wait the 4ish months until it comes back!

But it is ok, because in the meantime I can watch the Bachelorette which begins on Monday! Yes, I have no life at the moment, so my decision is to live vicariously through the people on my television. --And because I'm a fantastic multitasker, I may even knit a few scarves or something, haha.

So, as I sit here watching The Price is Right, I am having a hard time watching Drew Carey. Yes, I know he took over for Bob Barker a while ago, but I am not sure who I like better??--I am really pushing for Bob Barker, maybe he'll come out of retirement just for me!! haha, no really this is what I do when I don't have a job!!

Graduation and Mother's Day

I totally loved the graduating part, and being able to say that I AM A COLLEGE GRADUATE!! But really, the whole graduation was not as thrilling as I expected. Loved the 30 minute interlude with someone giving a speech who I had never seen before, followed by 1 hour of name calling and finally another 30 minute speech and giving of the senior gift (which I couldn't even see because the girl in front of me was so wearing her cap half way down the back of her head! ha) But walking up on stage consisted of stopping -posing for a picture, running to shake a hand, and stopping and posing for another picture again..hahaa, a total of 20.7 seconds of my life! YAY, and by the way I totally love how my diploma doesn't come in the mail til oh about JUNE...ha




But I am glad my family and friends were there to share in the festivities!! My friend Keri came from Asheville on Friday so I dragged her around Charlotte running errands the entire day!! My family got here on Saturday and we got to spend the day together! We went and at at Brixx and then went to see Star Trek (not something I planned or really wanted to see, but it actually ended up being better than I thought it would be!!)


Thanks so much for everyone who has helped and put up with me for the last five years as I struggled to make it to graduation! Especially to my Mom who I love so dearly and I am so thankful that she is my Mom! She has done everything with such a kind heart and has always been there and willing to listen when I needed someone to talk to, to laugh with and a shoulder to cry on! Thanks to my Mom, I love you!!

Student Teaching

I had the best semester student teaching, I really learned a lot! When I look back even to January, I was so not ready to be a teacher. I was scared (still am) and did not feel prepared at all. But now, after completing student teaching, I feel more confident!

Friday was my last day with my class. It was great, Jill and I were surprised with a great basket of goodies to get us going for when we start teaching! I started crying when they gave us this really cute picture, it was a picture of each of the kids holding words that said "Thanks, good luck, we'll miss you!" It has been really different this week to not get up and go to Huntersville and see everyone!

Easter (Late)

Very excited I got to go home for Easter! It was nice to spend time with my family! It wasn't too long of a trip but it's okay because they are all coming down for Graduation on SATURDAY! Do I need to say it again, SATURDAY! I am so excited, it has been a long road to graduation and I never thought it would be here! I am nervous and excited at the same time. I wish I could say that I have a job lined up, but nope not a one. There's a hiring freeze for the school systems in Charlotte :( So it's just a waiting game for now.
