I made two for my class and two for the other teacher next door, Mrs. Taylor.

(FINISHED!)It has been quite a while since I've felt "crafty"--partly because I haven't had the time--and because when I start a project I like to finish it in one sitting.
Craft 1: "Hall Passes"--I've been giving the students in my class a laminated index card anytime that they needed to leave the room.--Totally boring, and very unoriginal. So, I wanted to spruce up the normal hall pass. --This craft I hope to finish today! As soon as I'm done I will be sure to post the "finished" project. Here's a peak of the "before."

So, generally Friday nights are considered my "calm down" evenings. I say this because work can be very hectic at times and Monday through Friday is non-stop! Don't get me wrong, I love my job...but sometimes I need that time to gather my thoughts and just do anything but work.
The Northlake/Huntersville area is about 15 minutes away so I like to go there on Fridays. There is a Target (LOVE!) there, and that's where I generally start first! Well, in the back of the store in electronics is where I spend most of my time. So, you ask why? I love to sample the new music. Last week I probably stood there for about 3o minutes (no exaggeration) listening to the new Christmas music! Well it's not "new" music, but it's new mixes. They have classic Christmas music and rock Christmas and other types of CDS. My first thought went to what CD can I buy for my classroom. For the last week we've been listening to holiday music..I bet my assistant is going to pull out her hair by the end of the holidays because I've overplayed holiday music!! I decided it was time for a new mix. So, I settled on 2..and let me tell you, only coming out with 2 was a very hard decision! I got a "Crooner Christmas" CD and a kids Christmas sing along CD. I wish I could find the CDs online but I can't right now.

So, my Mom is not one for my random jokes. Apparantly, she thinks I could be spending some of my "free-time" in a more "structured" manner.
When I sent her these pictures she was none too thrilled!--And to add she's probably even more thrilled that I decided to share these on my blog. (Because I'm acting "oh so lady like"--haha)
And according to my Mother, a more structured "free time" would include cooking (insert sarcasm here, "Ok, Mom, because I really need to focus on eating....")
In conclusion, I decided to focus on my blog. For the next few posts, I'll be focusing on MONOGRAMMING at its finest! --I'll be including some unique gift ideas that I have found over the years that include the best personalized gift ever, MONOGRAMMING!
Enjoy, here is the first!
