Janet Evanovich

I got to meet Janet Evanovich.  

Jealous?  No need to be, don't even know who she is.

Except that my Dad desperately needed me to go meet her and get her latest book signed.

He was cashing in on his Father's Day present.

So I go.  

Meet a crazy older lady (while waiting for Janet Evanovich to sign my book) who finds it necessary to tell me her entire life story.

Nope, not kidding.

Facts I have learned about a complete stranger.

(While I wait to get a book signed from an author I don't know at all.)

1.  She's met Nicholas Sparks 20 million times.

2.  The signings for Nicholas Sparks are different from Janet Evanovich.

3.  She took her Mom to see a Nicholas Sparks movie.

4.  She took her Mom to see another Nicholas Sparks movie.

5.  She especially liked Nights in Rodanthe (by Nicholas Sparks, of course.)

6.  Her Mom passed away before she could see the latest Nicholas Sparks movie.  

("The Last Song", the one with Miley Cyrus in it..so she reminded me.)

7.  Janet Evanovich does things differently at her book signings.

8.  Nicholas Sparks personalizes at his book signings.

9.  She's met Nicholas Sparks at a book signing.

So, see the pattern?  

Yep, she repeated herself that much during our 3 hour wait in line.

Ya know what she suckered me into doing?

Taking her book up with me to get signed.

because..

10.  She has arthritis.

11.  Her knee hurts.

12.  She can't take her pain meds yet.

13.  My number in line is better than hers.

Mine: 110

School.

Ok, now we're at mid June.  School finished!  I finished my very first year of teaching!

I will never forget this year. 

I will never forget my very first students. 

I will never forget the wonderful friends that I made.

Especially this one, Paula.

She has been my teaching partner for the past year.

I am extrememly greatful to have shared the year with her.  

I have learned so much because of her.

Where to start?

Let me point out again that I tend to be unable to write my posts in a chronological order.  But, I'll do my best!

My move.  Well it happened.  I hated every bit of it.  Packing is not any fun when it's extremely hot out.  I moved into a 3 bedroom townhome at the beginning of June!  I'm loving it and things are going great.  But, I won't forget my first adult apartment that I left!
